Lunches
Lunch is open from 12pm to 2pm throughout. Service will close at 1.30pm, but you are welcome to stay in Hall and enjoy your lunch till 2pm.
Children are welcome to attend all lunches at the College.
Halls & Dinners:
Bookings open twice per term (weeks -1: for weeks 1-4 & Week 3: for weeks 5-8:
MT26: 9am on Mon 28 Sept & Mon 26 Oct
HT27: 9am on Mon 4 Jan & Mon 1 Feb
TT27: 9am on Mon 12 Apr & Mon 10 May
• Bookings close for Halls at 10am on the Thursday prior to the event. Please look at the website for individual event dates.
• All bookings should be made online at St Cross Meal booking and must be paid for at time of purchase, except for breakfast, brunch & lunch.
• All members must present their St Cross College ID Card upon entry to all events.
• Members must specify all dietary requirements and any guest names and dietary requirements before the Event booking closes. If provided after booking closes we cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate these changes.
• For Evening Meals, allergen and dietary cards will be provided to those who have signed up with a dietary requirement. These must be displayed throughout the dinner.
• Members can bring up to 3 guests for Dinners and Formals, not Feasts. St Cross Members must meet guests at the Porters’ Lodge and guests must be accompanied by a member at all times.
• If you wish to sell your ticket to another St Cross student, you must submit this information before booking closes to mealbooking.queries@stx.ox.ac.uk. Guests are welcome with a St Cross member - non-St Cross members cannot attend dinners without a St Cross host.
• Any cancellations must be notified prior to Event booking closure. After this time we cannot provide a refund.
• The College reserves the right to restrict bookings for members who do not notify the College of a cancellation, or who do not attend.
• In the rare situation that you are unable to attend Formal Hall due to exceptional circumstances then a request can be made to the Events Manager after the event for a non-attendance refund, either in full or part.
• The minimum age at all Evening Meals is 16+, charged at the adult rate.
• Children are welcome to attend all lunches at the College. Those under 12 are free of charge and do not need to be booked in. Children over the age of 12 will be charged at the adult rate.
Fellows
Priority booking for the whole term is available to all Fellows. Please email your dinner bookings, with names, number of tickets and dietaries to mealbooking. queries@stx.ox.ac.uk by:
• MT26: Friday 25 September 2026 8:30am
• HT27: Friday 8 January 2027 8:30am
• TT27: Friday 16 April 2026 8.30am
Dinner for Academic Supervisors at the invitation of their Junior Members:
• This dinner is intended to allow Postgraduate Research (DPhil and MRes) students to invite their supervisors to dinner.
• Please arrange to meet your supervisor at the drinks reception and arrive together at the dinner.
