Terms & Conditions

1.      Ordering Deadlines:

·        Catered menu, which includes 3 categories: Buffet Menu and Build Your Own Lunch/Dinner, must be ordered 10 days prior to the event deadline.

·        If the deadline is passed, those items won't be available to order. However, customers can order from the remaining categories.

·        All the remaining categories will be visible till 5 days (120 hours) prior to the event deadline.

·        If the deadlines are passed, we cannot cater the event or make any changes or additions.

2.      Attendance Numbers:

·        Final attendance numbers must be confirmed 7 business days prior to the event for groups less than 100 and 10 business days for groups of 100 or more.

3.      Booking Confirmation:

·        No date is considered booked until the completed Catering Agreement is signed, or we accept the order on Spoonfed.

4.      Cancellation Policy:

·        In the event the client cancels the event, the client shall pay Levy Canada the following cancellation amounts:

·        On or after the date which is three business days prior to the event – 100% of estimated costs.

·        The client shall pay the above cancellation amounts no later than 10 days following Levy Canada’s receipt of notice of cancellation.

5.      Invoicing:

·        Invoicing will be based upon confirmed numbers, as mentioned above. Levy Canada cannot guarantee seating or meals for additional attendees above the confirmed number, nor can we provide a reduction to your bill for fewer attendees.

6.      Payment:

·        Full payment for the function is required before or by 5 pm on the event day.

7.      Outside Food and Drink:

·        Absolutely no outside food, drink, or alcohol is permitted. The customer shall inform Levy Canada in advance of the event date, even if they are bringing alcohol as a gift or giveaway. The customer must make sure gifts for Alcohol or giveaway are not being opened inside licensed areas.


8.      Extra Charges:

·        Linens, China Silverware, and Table linens are an additional charge. Please indicate in your client information package, and we will order according to your party size.

·        Orders under $200 would need to pay extra for China and Silverware.

9.      Taxes and Fees:

·        There is a 13% tax, 5% Event Coordination fee, and 15% gratuity added to every catering order.

 

10.   Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions:

·        The customer is responsible for informing Levy Canada of any food allergies or dietary restrictions of their guests at the time of placing the order. Levy Canada will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests but cannot guarantee that all requests will be met. Please go through Allergen Document at the bottom of the page for more details.

 

11.   Equipment Rental:

·        Any equipment required for the catering, such as tables, chairs, or cooking equipment, will be rented at an additional cost. The rental cost will be disclosed to the customer in advance and will be added to the final invoice.

 

12.   Service Staff:

·        Service staff, such as servers or bartenders, may be required for the event and will be provided at an additional cost. The cost-of-service staff will be disclosed to the customer in advance and will be added to the final invoice.

 

13.   Liability:

·        Levy Canada assumes no responsibility for the safety or security of the customer's property or guests. The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Compass Group Canada, its affiliates, and its employees from any claims or damages arising from the event.

 

14.   Force Majeure:

·       Levy Canada shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under this agreement due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, riot, or natural disasters.

 

15.   Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

·        This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province in which the event is held. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in the courts of that province.


 16.   Portion Control:

·        Portion Control Disclaimer: We do not assume responsibility for regulating food portions among your event guests. However, customers have the option to engage a paid server for dedicated portion control.
